Ingredients
1/2 cup neutral oil
2 tbsp chili flakes
1 tbsp sesame seeds
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp soy sauce
1/2 tsp vinegar
Optional: pinch of Sichuan pepper or a little crushed peanuts
Steps
Put chili flakes, sesame seeds, garlic, sugar, and salt in a heatproof bowl.
Heat the oil until hot but not smoking.
Carefully pour the hot oil over the mix. Stir well.
Add soy sauce and vinegar.
Let it cool for 10–15 minutes.
