Two seedlings question

Hi all, first time grower here. Somehow, two seedlings ended up in the same seed starter pod and I need to get them into larger containers as I’ve been reading. I’m pretty sure now that I should have probably separated these sooner, but I’ve honestly been surprised at the early success of the other seedlings and have been struggling to keep up with repotting dozens of others with work and life.

Any hope for these two? Any way that I can separate them now? Or, do I perhaps pot them into something larger and just see how they do?

Thanks.

I can speak to some of this.

I’ve had about an 80% success rate splitting up twins in seedling trays. Personally, I find it easier wjen soil is slightly dry. I pull the cell, and gently losen the soil until the majority falls away, and then sowly and GENTLY kneed and tug at the exposed roots to separate them–i rarely have to rip thrm, they usually start separating quite nicely with patience.

That said, if roots have fully filled in the cell and started wrapping…. you’re talking about an exponential increase in difficulty.

I’d pull the cell, see if they feel like they want to separate with some gentle coaxing.

    Good luck!
