Pepper ID?

one of the biology teachers at my college lead an environmental society. in its beginnings when I was involved around november/December (cant remember when we did it) she brought in some peppers from her own pepper plant and we planted a bunch of the seeds. this turned out to be the very last surviving one, and i need it thriving !!

from memory, the peppers we dissected for the seeds were finger length and width. she mentioned them being mild, and they were mostly red and completely smooth.

also.. any ideas on what could have made that tiny hole on one of the leaves?? i do have 4 cats, only one of which devours plants (i keep my plants safe away from him) and if he got to it, he would've eaten the entire plant. bug maybe? a burn?

Care tips would be appreciated too!! Im in the UK and have been placing this on the sunniest window every day along with my little jalapeño. we dont have space for any sort of greenhouse 💔

and… any suggestions on interesting peppers to grow? really wanting to get my hands on longhorn peppers or some funky growing ones.. and some that have pretty flowers?

Most likely something like a jalapeño. Leaves aren’t big enough for bells, habanero type peppers tend to have more heart shaped leaves, not narrow or long enough for cayenne types.. the leaves are the wrong shape for an aji or fatalii.
