Chilli Fish Recipe | Easy Homemade Restaurant-Style Chilli Fish



Ingredients:
– 500g boneless white fish, cut into 1-inch thick cubes
– Enough oil for frying

Fish Marinade:
– 1 Tbsp Kashmiri chili powder
– ½ tsp salt
– ½ tsp black pepper powder
– ½ tsp turmeric
– 2 Tbsp cornflour/cornstarch
– 1 egg, lightly beaten

Homemade Chili Sauce (Optional):
– 2 Tbsp vegetable oil
– 4 large garlic cloves, minced
– 3 Tbsp red chilis, minced
– 1 tsp rice vinegar
– 1 tsp sugar
– ½ tsp salt
– 1 tsp Asian sesame oil

For Sautéing:
– 1 Tbsp vegetable oil
– 1 Tbsp Asian sesame oil
– 4 garlic cloves, minced
– 1 ½-inch piece ginger, minced
– 1 medium red onion, cut into chunks
– 1 large bell pepper, cut into chunks
– 2 green chilis
– 2 spring onions, white bottom part
– ¼ tsp salt

For the Sauce:
– 2 Tbsp homemade or store-bought chili sauce
– 4 Tbsp ketchup
– 1 Tbsp soy sauce
– 1 tsp rice vinegar
– 1 Tbsp water (add more as needed)
– 1 Tbsp honey

For Garnish:
– 2 spring onions, green portion
