Sometimes I don't know if I can really taste alcohol/liquor in hot sauce but I made a margarita hot sauce for Cinco de Mayo and you can definitely taste the tequila. It legitimately tasted like a spicy margarita.
(I prematurely gave it a taste well before the alcohol burned off and it was like taking a straight shot of tequila, on an empty stomach non the less.)
