Im growing a cowhorn Italian hot pepper this season. The leaves on the bottom half have been yellowing and falling off. The top half of the plant looks healthy and is producing a lot of fruit. We did have an extreme amount of rain the last week so I’m wondering if this could be from so much water.

Sometimes as the plant gets older and bigger with an established canopy I’ve noticed the lower leaves will start to drop.
leaf old. leaf yellow. leaf fall. plant no care.
Nothing to worry about. Plant just dropping old leaves.
Same thing happens to my ghost pepper. As it’s growing it just starts to drop the older bottom leaves.
