Campo at Los Poblanos receives wide recognition
NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – The Michelin Guide on Wednesday announced its restaurant selections for the first-ever Michelin Guide Southwest. The announcements were made at a ceremony in Las Vegas, Nevada and while no New Mexico eateries received a highly coveted Michelin star, they did receive recognition from the highly recognized guide.

The Michelin Guide Inspectors identified 18 restaurants to receive a Bib Gourmand
distinction, which recognizes eateries for great food at a great value. The full list can be

Special awards and recognitions:
In addition to the Bib Gourmands and stars, the guide announced four special awards, one of which, the Michelin Exceptional Cocktails Award, went to Joseph Simonson Campo at Los Poblanos.
Located on the same 25-acre farm in Los Ranchos De Albuquerque, Los Poblanos Historic Inn & Organic Farm, which is a 1930s inn, was honored with Two Michelin Keys under the hotels category. This category recognizes “the most unique and exciting places to stay in the Southwest and throughout the world.”
The recognition did not stop there for, Los Poblanos as Campo chef Christopher Bethoney was honored under the “Mindful Voices” platform by Michelin which is an editorial space “where chefs, hoteliers, and winemakers can share their stories and pioneering practices, both with one another and the rest of the world.”
Last but not least for Campo at Los Poblanos, the eatery earned a spot on Michelin’s recommended southwest restaurants list along side several other New Mexican establishments.
