Every other month the $5 cravings box is removed from the menu and some useless new item replaces it. It was nice being able to get 3 combos for $15+tax. Also how did the family Taco/Burrito box go from $12.99 to $18 they didn’t even ease into that price increase. Sheesh i just walked out and ordered 2 pizzas and a cheese bread for $20 and came out with more food for cheaper.

The Cravings Box has only been on the menu two stretches in the last 3-4 years. It was always an LTO. It wasn’t a permanent item that keeps getting removed or anything. I understand people like it because of the pricing, but that’s exactly why it’s never going to be a permanent menu item. They’re not going to undercut their other permanent menu items like that. It’ll never be anything but a limited time deal to boost sales.
They’ll stop taking it off the menu the day people like you start actually learning what the menu is. Which is never. They’ve had the $5 box literally twice in the last 3 years and each time was LTO for less than 2 months each run.
you can still get it but it’s online orders only. online exclusive and it’s 5.99
The chalupa or what ever that is in the middle is gross and should be exchanged for something else,
It’s not even 5.00 near me they should be sued for falsely advertising

I’ve always been annoyed at the box bc I’d get emails/notifications about it but when I would order it would always be 7.99 or 8.99 I can’t quite remember. Same with the “2$” Burritos, they 3.49 on the app for me.

I’m not a regular TB customer. I’ll go once every few months to pick up a couple of tacos if it’s convenient.
However, that changes when the $5 box is active. I go to TB 2x/week when they’re available.
They should keep them permanently as a craving box. It’s funny how I saw this commercial about them bragging about cheap. The Taco Bell is when it’s as expensive now as like a Wendy’s.
If it’s about getting the most food for your money, take out is the worst choice. You could make spaghetti with salad and garlic bread for less than $15. Chili? Bulk prep chicken?
