I have 5 of these Jimmy Nardellos in 5 gallon pots with Hapi Gro Organic potting mix and 20-25% perlite. I hit with a half dose of Moon Juice today, a week after transplant from solo cups, and don't plan on using any additional fertilizer for about a month. They've got flowers and peppers (you can probably spot one under the forward leaf) and are about 18" tall.
In practice, have you had better results pinching off flowers and peppers from plants in the state I've got? Am in Austin,TX under some oaks for what it's worth, though they get enough sun. Have had some harvests previously in the same spot from Reapers and Chocolate Bhutlah with a different setup- 3 plants in a rolling planter with less room for each plant.
